Write Relevant Content Throughout Your Webpage
Your page title should best possible relevant with the page content. It is the most important factor which influences both search engines and searchers. Search engines identify your page content by first looking up its title and visitors click or don’t after reading the title either the information is exact or not, for what they are searching.
Domain Name
Domain names also play a crucial role in ranking of your website. Google puts a very high level importance on domain names, specially on domain names with regional extensions. This helps Google to rank the website in particular geographic regions. Select the domain name with the extension of a geographic region which contains the target visitors for your website. For example if you are going to bring visitors to your website from Pakistan, then a domain name with .pk extension will be helpful in getting higher ranking of your website in the region. So keep this factor in mind also while registering the domain for your website. If your target visitors are worldwide, then this factor is not important to be considered.
Age of Domain
Domain age is also important. Websites are ranked on the basis of their history. If the historical record of a particular website is good, then the website surely ranks higher. If you are using an old and respected domain for your website, then it needs lesser efforts to bring your website forth in search results. So if you have an old domain, prefer it to use for your website as Google loves the durable and respected websites and put them first when searched.
Outbound Links
Outbound links snatch away the respect of your website among search engines if they are numerous and linking to low-ranked websites. The more outbound links a website contains, the more it looks spamy. You can notice this fact by observations that high ranked websites always contain more inbound links and less outbound links. So always try to put minimum outbound links on your website. Link to valuable and relevant external content only and add “nofollow” attribute for the links which are low ranked. Moderate comments also and approve valuable outbound links only. This will also help you a lot in improving your search engine ranking.
Don’t Use the Words Which Google Hates
Never use Google banned words in webpages of your website. Google banned words are abuse and unethical words which Google has banned to maintain the ethical standards among websites. If you use those words, Google may start hating your website, resulting in the rapid loss of your website’s ranking. You can find a list of Google banned words here. Never use these words in your website content and moderate them in comments also.
These were five simple and common, but most neglected factors. Website owners mostly ignore these components but always keep in mind that they really work, if properly done.
